Lagos Port is expected to take delivery of 2.29 million units of 12.5 kilogrammes of LPG cylinders valued at $36.89 million.
Findings from the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)’s Shipping Position revealed that MV Sirina would arrive with 27,500 tonnes (27.5 million kilogrammes) of cylinders this month at the Greenview Development Nigeria Limited (GDNL) terminal of the port.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), there has been increase in the importation of cylinders as cooking gas consumers are on the increase since 2018 when import was 2.4 million units; 2019, 2.8 million units and 2020, 3.4 million units.
