An analysis by Nairalytics, the research arm of Nairametrics shows that forty-four of the largest publicly listed companies in the Nigerian equities market spent a total of $153.3 million as professional fees in the 2023 financial year.
Compared to the previous year, it increased by a whopping 50.6% from the $101.8 million recorded in 2022. These professional fees include payments for legal, consultancy, non-audit, advisory amongst other services.
