Nigerian policymaking relies 90% on international statistics – Prof. Tunji Olaopa

Prof. Tunji Olaopa, Chairman, of the Federal Civil Service Commission, disclosed that international organizations like the World Bank, the United Nations, and other bilateral bodies generate 90% of the applied statistics used to shape Nigeria’s policies.

He disclosed this at the official launch of the Centre for Public Sector Governance (CPSG) in Abuja, which seeks to foster transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the management of public resources, with a focus on strengthening governance practices in Nigeria.
