In the last nine months, Malaysia has exported 124, 663 tonnes of crude palm oil valued at $132.6 million into Nigeria for industrial and domestic consumption.
It was learnt that an average of one vessel berthed at the Lagos Port with the produce on a monthly basis due to forex challenge and shortage in local production.
Also, it was revealed that due to a shortage in local production for domestic and industrial consumption price of the produce rose from $887 per tonne in June to $1,045 per tonne in September, while the local price stands at $1,080.
